Liberians from across the United States and other parts of the world will gather tomorrow in Voorhees, the state of New Jersey to commemorate the first Gala Anniversary of the “Samuel K. Doe Foundation” on March 10, 2012.
The foundation is the name in memory of the late President of Liberia, Dr. Samuel K. Doe and founded by his children and is built on promoting unity, genuine peace and reconciliation, especially leading the course to reconcile the people of Nimba and Grand Gedeh Counties.
The Gala takes place at the “The Mansion”, Voorhees, New Jersey, United States and commences at 7:00 PM Est.
Mrs Tarloh Quiwonkpa, widow of the late General Thomas G. Quiwonkpa, former Commanding General of the Arm Forces of Liberia will serve as Keynote Speaker.
The foundation is privileged and humble to Mrs. Quiwonkpa for accepting our invitation to serve as the Keynote Speaker.
Mrs. Quiwonkpa embrace of our effort is a clear manifestation of her courage and determination in promoting unity, genuine peace and reconciliation in Liberia and the effort of the foundation to reconcile our people and country from every stripe of the divide which destroyed our beloved country.
The gala will be attended by many notable Liberians and non-Liberians from across the US and around the world.
