Liberians Abroad Launch ‘Burial Fund Drive ‘ for Slain School Teacher

R I P

Liberians living abroad have launched the ‘Rebecca Wollor Burial Fund Drive” to bury a fellow citizen, the late Rebecca Wollor, a school teacher who was shot dead on the early morning of November 15, 2012 in the head by a Ghanaian national in Accra, Ghana.

Former class and schoolmates, friends, and Liberians in general have gathered to raise funds for the deceased burial.

The ‘New Dispensation’ is joining the family of the deceased, her friends, Liberians, and sympathizers to appeal to the deceased former schoolmates, the St. Teresa Convent High School (Liberia), Liberians and all humanitarians and people of goodwill to support hand to the fund drive.

Special appeal goes to Liberians on social media of she was a part and specifically to Liberians on Facebook to contribute  to this worthy cause.

A direct appeal is also sent to the Liberian Facebook Groups, “TMZ Liberia’ and “Discussing Liberia”, the two largest Liberian social media groups on Facebook to take the lead in the burial fund drive.

The combined membership of these two groups will accumulate up to about 70,000 members. Of this combined 70,000 membership, both groups should mobilize  a 10% to pay $5.00 each and that will amount to $50,000.00 (USD). This donation can be made within a week.

Let Liberians too, make an impact on the social media revolution and begin it in a meaningful way by taking care of a fallen classmate, friend, and a fellow , sister, cousin, niece, aunt and  a “LIBERIAN lived abroad like all other Liberians living in the Diaspora.

  4. @Dellnot Gardiner…..I Pinky Daniels & Kate Clarke are raising funds to help Rebecca’s family. Rebecca and I were best friends since St. Teresa Convent days….so you can rest assure that the money collected will go directly to the burial of Rebecca. Rebecca and I spoke a day before she died (we were that close like sisters)…we are not here to steal we are all devastated by this lost and want to help the family, the family can not afford to cover the expenses so we are doing what a friend must do to help. I am in contact with Fredrick (Rebecca’s brother every day). Have you made your contribution?
