Liberia: Justice Minister Announces Pro-Gov’t Demonstration Too, on April 12th

As Liberians wait in anticipation of the opposition planned April 12th demonstration and peeps beyond the horizon as to what lies ahead for their country and rippled effect a potential and eminent violence could engulf the country, the country woke up to yet another fluidity which could ignite an already hyper-charged atmosphere, the country’s Justice Ministry announced a parallel group will also stage a demonstration on the  same day of the opposition will be staging their demonstration.

With this recent development Liberia is on the edge and an obvious showdown between the two groups and escalation of things to come concealed in the country’s Defense Minister’s public pronouncement and vow to deploy lethal force on anyone who defies his orders and ventures out for demonstration on April 12th.

The demonstration will strike  a severe blow to Liberia’s the relative  peace and since the cessation of civil war in 2003 and democratic elections held bringing President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf , African first female president to power and the country gained international recognition for the milestone of electing the firs African woman President. It will also plunge a serious dent President Sirleaf’s  international image for which she enjoys enormous  support from around the world
