Liberian Native of Minn, Galimah, Sentenced to More Than Two Years Imprisonment for Gun Running

A Liberian native of Coon Rapids, Minnesota,  McHarding Galimah,  was  sentenced by a Federal District Court to imprisonment for more than two years for gun running. According to the Associated Press, Mr. Galimah, thirty-eight, was sentenced last Thursday, June 20 for exporting guns to  West Africa on one count of  smuggling guns to Liberia.

Evidence presented at trial by the prosecution, revealed Mr.  Gilamah bought 12 guns from a licensed dealer and shipped the guns to Liberia and traveled to his native country and sold  the guns, a U.S. Attorney said, according to the Associated Press.

The Federal Prosecutors argued that Mr. Galimah did not have license to transport firearms and there is a federal law that forbids the export of arms to Liberia.
