Monrovia, Liberia-Two officials of Liberia’s main opposition political party, the Coalition for Democratic Change-CDC, were last night arrested for been in possession of firearms by the Liberia National Police near the Samuel Stryker Funeral Home in the Sinkor District of Monrovia.
The Liberia National Police is withholding the names of the the two officials of the opposition party officials.
The Chairman of the Youth Wing of the Coalition for Democratic Change, Jefferson Koijee was seen at the headquarters of the Liberia National Police in what observers believe is to secure the release of his party’s officials detained at the police headquarters.
The Liberia National Police has confirmed the arrest of the two opposition leaders but are withholding their names from the public.
